영어회화에 유용한 표현들:여러뜻의 영단어들(Hang on/Make up)

오늘은 여러 상황에서 서로 다른 의미로 쓰일 수 있는 단어들에 대해 포스팅 해보겠습니다 

이런 어휘들은 문맥에 따라 전혀 다른 해석이 될 수도 있고

영어회화에 있어서 많이 사용되는 표현들이기 때문에 알아두시면 좋겠네요

 [Hang on]

1.Hold something tightly(무언가를 꽉 잡고 있는)

2.Wait for a while(잠깐 기다리는)

3.To continue or keep going(계속되는)

4.Listen carefully to what someone is saying with interest  

(누군가 말하는 것에 대해 관심을 가지고 듣는)

Hang on to this rope tight and don't let go

(이 밧줄 꽉 잡고 절대 놓치지마)

Will you hang on for a while? I forgot my wallet 

(잠깐만 기다려줄래? 지갑을 깜빡했어)

1.Apply cosmetics to improve or change appearance (화장하다)

2.consist, comprise(~으로 구성되다,~로 되어있다)

3.become friends again after a argument or quarrel(화해하다)

4.invented(지어내다)

5.prepare(준비하다)

6.decide what to do(결심하다)

Hey, You don't have to wear make up. You are always perfect

(야! 너 화장 안해도되 넌 항상 완벽해)

Women make up 40% of the candidates 

(지원자의 40%가 여자로 구성되어 있다)

Did you make up with Kesha?

(케샤랑 화해했어?)

She made up some ridiculous stories about me and spread it  

(그녀는 나에 대한 어이없는 이야기를 지어내고 퍼뜨렸다)
